Survival of the Mountain Gorilla depends on people like you!
There are currently 719 Mountain Gorillas left in the world. Unable to survive in a zoo environment, they will only remain a part of our planet if we work to protect them in their natural habitat.
Through just over 30 families, these 719 gorillas live in a small area of land bordering Rwanda, Congo and Uganda. The largest number of gorillas make Uganda's Bwindi Impenetrable Forrest their home.
Friend a Gorilla is a program specifically designed to provide funding and attention to efforts the Uganda wildlife Authority is taking to protect and save the Mountain Gorillas.
